    I was going to write about this some time ago, but someone convinced me to steer clear. Well, it’s looking nastier than usual and getting worse, so maybe I should throw in my five trillion dollars’ worth.

  2. Just a quick note about Israel

    So, about 9 days ago or so I had to just, be very good or strong not to freak out. I heard some news about Israel-Palestine situation, and knew what it meant; I ought to have written right away.

    but, ISRAEL!!! THIS IS ABSOLUTELY NOT OKAY.

    It is an unfair confict when one side is armed, and another is not, and that is basically what this is. The death tolls are about 10 to one, 54 Americans dying while 1300 Palestinians have died, and a number in the several thousands ...

    The fasting month of Ramadhan ended and Eid was observed with thankfulness to Allah. There are three types of Eids; Eid ul Fitr, Eid ul Adha and Eid of Friday. Holy Prophet (peace and blessing of Allah be on him) has declared Friday as Eid too.


    Generally, it is thought that Eid after Ramadhan is the day of celebration and thankfulness after Ramadhan only. But there are deep lessons which a faithful have to keep in mind. Eid days are mile stones.

  5. Licenses or Favoritism

    Here in Massachusetts the Great and General Court passed and the governor signed into law a law that will permit three “resort-casinos” in the Commonwealth. I don’t think much of casino gambling at all. I regard casinos as businesses designed to take money from individuals and fill the pockets of the casino owners, much like insurance companies. I doubt that I will ever visit any of those casinos, if they will be built, but the small, limited number of casinos annoys me. In effect the State government ...
