1. Summertime blues

Summer '07 is proving to be one of the better blueberry growing seasons in recent years. These were found growing high up on Florida Mountain, Massachusetts, elevation 2,250 feet.

Yesterday might be described as a bad day, relatively speaking. I should have consulted an I Ching reading, or at least paid better attention to my instincts. I talked for too long to my ...

2. Thoughts on Gogol?

Not a whole lot is really happening in my corner of the world. Unless you count the wicked dry heat spell that is upon us here in the Prairies. Well, this probably makes up for the unusually wet May and June we had... so can't complain.

In the early morning, the forest smells deliciously thick of green, quite tantalizing. But then, the forest changes smell with each new season, how boring of me to go on about it...

3. Explanation

As to why I ditched my "classic" personality.

I really, really, really, REALLY love history, and classic things, but it got to be way too much for me. I would get so timesick, it hurt so much. I needed to stop. Classical music did not help hardly ever. It just made it worse with it's beauty. I still love all those things, but I needed/need a break from it. They all made me way too sad. Unecessarily sad.

So I'm trying to be more "normal". More "modern".

I've been thinking about the government lately. Yes, politics...a no-no...

As much as I love my country, it's hard for me to trust it...it seems to me that times were better "back then". I'm only 15, but I can read and study history. I admire our founding fathers so much for doing the God-like thing they did, so it's hard for me to say that "I don't trust my country".

Maybe revolutions are necessary every now and then. People change, ideas change.

5. The great library

by , 07-24-2007 at 09:26 PM (The Nation of the Glorious Turnip)
The great library from outer space

The great library from outer space is the place from which all books originate. It can be a dangerous place, but overall, it’s the great library from outerspace.
(Much of this exists thanks to Nightshade, whom I would like to thank for being a well of silly creativity.)

The opening of the great ledger:
The true librarians of earth find the great library and lone books but never return them, thus the earth has an enormous ...
