I guess it's been ages since I put in a blog entry. Well, something horrible happened a short while ago, perhaps not quite a tragedy but certainly close. My mother, who is 73, fell and broke her hip while staying at my sister's house in Toledo, Ohio. She is going to have surgery tomorrow, pins and plates inserted, I guess. This sounds horrible for someone her age. I'm sure the surgery will be fine, but the recovery for her age is a question. Toledo is a 10hour drive from here, so I'm torn ...
This is a column by Ray Orrock, one of my favorite local columnists. He retired last year. She wants to start splitting her time between the library and the humane society. It’s important to do some kind of volunteer work and I don’t really care too much ...
