    [COLOR="Sienna"][SIZE="2"][B]Deep Purple was influenced a lot by Jimi Hendrix, especially in the 8-song album "Shades of Deep Purple," the 8th song of which is actually a cover of "Hey Joe" by Hendrix. The whole album shows influence, especially the 5th track, "Mandrake Root" which starts with the very same guitar riff as "Foxy Lady," but they vary it by making the first part of the song out of this riff, while Hendrix plays it, and then ...

  4. A journey into the past

    So, today I took my trip back home, visited my Dad's grave and my favourite spot in the whole world! In honour of the trip, the word for today is :

    Remembrance

    Partly because the point of the trip was to remember my Dad, and also to remember a part of myself which I was beginning to think was gone for good. It's not, and that's what I remembered today.

  5. oh the pain

    [COLOR="DarkGreen"][SIZE="2"][B]Has anyone seen that M*A*S*H episode where someone or other has a severe headache, and then an Indian or Muslim guy shows first Potter and Klinger a type of meditation where you stand on your head? In the show, it relieves them of all their pain... anyway, I did this yesterday for 15 minutes in the afternoon, and since then my neck and back have been in a lot of pain- I can't look down, or left or right really. Ah... But I'm not taking a pain pill ...
