    TABOO

Professor Wilks stopped at the base of the massive tor.
He rubbed his eyes. How long had it been since he’d slept?
He pulled out a faded piece of parchment with trembling hands.
“The treasure lies where the full moon points a finger at midnight.” He quoted.
“But let the man who searches for it beware! It is taboo
to cross the buried dead!” Involuntarily, he flinched. His skin

burned. Of course, he had seen almost everything. ...

    Execution Day

From behind the bars, his eyes gleamed with madness,
and I knew in my heart that he would never
return home. His actions were strange, his eyes sort of opaque.
My mind said it was time to stop hoping, time to quit
putting off the inevitable. He paced back and forth, a restless

More fully on the colors ...

    Hyde

The first feeling that I can remember is that of a sublime, almost poetic pain!
Then my eyes opened and I knew the wonderful sensation of true freedom—
And when one has been forced to undergo the long imprisonment
I have, you learn to treasure every waking moment of it! Still, he will provide refuge.
I must allow the old man a tiny connection to me, but keep it a dark secret.
The good Dr. Jekyll will serve as my own place in which I shall hide… ...

    Jekyll

I returned from Dr, Lanyon’s, convinced the man is a fool,
He had the audacity to laugh at my long held theory
That man cannot be one, but at the very least, a dual
personality, and that one must only find the correct formula
to separate them into totally separate individuals.
I can still see him laughing over his brandy glass…

Well, now as my chemicals begin to smoke together in the glass,
perhaps we shall settle soon ...
