  1. Night Thoughts

by , 10-26-2007 at 04:02 AM (Reflections on the puddle of life)
Last night I went to bed early. Sometimes I do this, and my husband and I will sit up in bed and read, he reading some science fiction tome, and I will try and pick a book that, perhaps, I wouldn't otherwise read. Last night I chose a book which I have owned for, maybe, 5 years or so, which I have picked up from the shelf and put back numerous times. Perhaps it was the half-light, the warmth of the bed and the body beside me, the softness of the covers, but I discovered pure beauty in the book I ...

  2. A Visitor

I have a friend that is almost my age; only 4 years younger. She was a beautiful young lady. She graduated from High School, married and had three boys. Her oldest son is 18 months older than my youngest. We lived in different parts of the state and only saw each at weddings and funerals and such. Well, two nights ago, we got a call from her. He told me in the e-mail that he's writing up a report for Mark's art show in Belgium that just occured. I commented on DEVO's MySpace (run by Mr. Pilmer) that I couldn't wait and then I got ...

  4. Slipping Away

Time just seems to sort of move along, but there is no realization that it is going by so quickly. Hours, days, weeks, and months have flown by, and I'm unable to stop their quickening progress. Six weeks was the amount of time I had left here with my husband. Only six weeks of living together with our children. Only six weeks to gather memories of love and caring to sustain us when we are apart. There were only six weeks to hope that my little girl will share some more of her firsts with us ...

  5. It's Thursday?!

by , 10-25-2007 at 02:52 PM (Barmy Blue's Bland Blog)
I can't believe I forgot that it's Thursday. It's Anime Club tonight, now in fact. I can't believe I forgot. I was watching another film, "Kiki's Delivery Service". I'm trying to get a feel for Japanese culture and language here and as I stated yesterday, seeing as I like Howl's Moving Castle so much it makes sense to start from there.
I can't believe I forgot. What's going on in my brain? I've finished watching the film and now I'm just sitting around but if I had remembered it
