  1. Finally Fall

I live in the Ozark Mountains and it is really beautiful right now. The trees are yellow, green, orange and red. The cool air kisses your cheeks and nose just pinking them a bit. A sweater is enough right now, and the kids can still play outside until late. It’s good weather for stew or soup and people seem to appreciate homemade bread a little more in cool weather. And making bread is enough to keep the house warm. It’s a lovely time of year that is all too short. I wish I lived somewhere ...

  2. a letter to clay

Everyone regrets something. If I could undo anything it would be ending a friendship with a boy who was my best friend. My friend thought of what was best for me and tried to steer me in that direction, even when I protested. I often remember this time or that time, and I’m ashamed of my own behavior. 5. Songs of Selma

Has anyone heard of Ossian? Of course, I found about him like everyone else, through Goethe and Werther. I love these; I'm printing them out tomorrow (I have lots of Whitman printed, some Swinburne and some Donne), I realize it's perfect. After all, doesn't Werther have them in pages, he reads? Anyway, I finally realized how much I'd love to have them, and it's a simple matter, so tomorrow I will. Also I want to have the Daemon of the World by Shelly; I'm fascinated by it, and I want to have it ...
