    Where the Magnolias Grow

    I remember the grove
    just like yesterday
    on a fresh spring day
    when the grass was green
    and the skin blue.

    But there was such
    a sweet breeze to touch
    the air, and it carried
    the natural perfume.

    I would run there
    with my feet bare
    and without a single care
    for all the world.

    Daring in between sunbeams
    and shade, I was invincible

  3. It's Finished

    I finally finished it. The dreaded black and red baby blanket:lol: Actually it turned out rather pretty considering. If it wasn't for a little one, I wouldn't have a thing against it. Here is a picture. I tried to get up close so you could see the stitches.

  4. Short Note

    This week my husband was down East on business. Everything was fine until Thursday. I got a call from a very muffled-sounding man, yet it was him. Strange. He started off by saying, "Now, don't get upset but....."

  5. The Day After

    Today went much much better then Thanksgiving/anniversary. I was off for the holiday but the long suffering spouse had to work the mid-shift so I was in for a very late meal. Tunafish casserole (no onions thank you) which was well worth the wait.

    Onyx got loose (which rarely occurs) when Ruth was separating a tree limb from his lease and thought her voice command would be more effective then it is.

    In 27 years Onyx is the fifth dog we've owned and by far the stupidest ...
