So, I find myself wondering just where my brain has gone lately. It's been about three weeks since it decided to go on holiday, and it shows no signs of wishing to return. Just a quick blog to say that my mom is in the hospital. She has been sick for a few days and she isn't getting any better. She just had something like the flu, but some old illnesses have resurfaced. None of it alone is that bad, but having them all hit her at once is making her feel pretty rotten. I'm concerned about her stress level preventing her from getting better. She really does work a lot and she doesn't have much free time. Today is the day for this. One of my dreams is to sing this in Chicago. Wow!! Today we'll be at a large Catholic church in 'da region'. No matter whether you believe in the Messiah or not, it is wonderful to be singing this piece by Handel, to be surrounded by so many singers and musicians. I can't wait.
