  1. masks (version the first)

by , 12-19-2007 at 07:15 PM (A Ramble through Smilie Land)
    Passing on move along
    we drift in circles now
Im not certain who I am,
I not sure I even care.

The mask I wear outmost today,
Is pale and fraile as paper
    It hides the stronger
    shield I wear. Protect
    Me from the world

    Layers on layers
    like an ogre
    I have become.
    Truth Is that now
    Ive forgotten
    who it was I am.

    But today they fell
    the masks weee smashed, ...

  2. Patch Adams

There's a movie based on a man named Patch Adams with Robin Wlliams in it (most of it is indeed quite fictional); that man graduated from my old school and I attended the lecture he gave when he revisited,

    2) Delineating relevant ...

  4. the tree and bailey's birthday

My husband drove us out in the fields last night to find a Christmas tree. He circled the fields three times and let us look at every tree. You can’t really judge the size of a tree from the truck so the last trip around he got out and stood by each tree so we could get a good idea of how big each tree was. We stood in the cold and watched while he cut the tree down and loaded into the back of his truck. Did I mention that it was cold. I had made beans for dinner and I promised hot cocoa to ...

  5. not very good

Seven days and nights now we've been fleeing through this jungle, the beast's shrill cries growing louder and closer at night. We are all on edge; and some have fled, and some are dead, and there are six of us let together. The other men are bone tired and nearing psychotic or nervous breakdowns. The conditions make it as oppressive as if in a tunnel mine. There is no place to go; they had taken their best guess as direction and traveled straight, but found no end to the jungle; mountains and hills, ...
