    Oaky so i decided i'd do a spot of campaigning for The Tain. Its not every month you have an opertunity to read a very new translation of a legend first written about in the Annuls of Ireland around 8th A.D. Its such a fantastic story, based around a disagreement over a bull which brings two parts of Ireland into a war. Its also about two friends, Setanta(Cuchulainn) and Ferdia, that grew up together but have been unfortunate to find each other on opposite sides and are made to fight one another ...

    When I was a small girl growing up, my grandmother used to bestow on me a beautiful handkerchief as a gift for various things (birthday, Easter, just-cuz, and all that).

  5. Dreary day

    What a dreary day it is where I am. It snowed for most of the day yesterday and turned into rain. Its raining hard now and melting the snow. Its a day to stay in bed and just chill out. As I write this I am watching my dog take a snooze. She looks so comfy, lying there on the floor by my feet. I am hungry but I can't eat since I am having a blood test today but not until 12:30. I haven't eaten since 9:00 last night. Seems my dog got tired of lying on the floor, so she is now on the couch ...
