  1. Educating Teachers

by , 04-22-2008 at 01:56 PM (Shannanigan's Search for More...)
Ok, let me get one thing out before I jump into this: I am all for the continued education of teachers. I like that school districts are now required to only hire certified (o certifiable) teachers and that certification requires a certain amount of education courses and credits in the subject area being taught. I want our teachers to be educated individuals who we can trust with educating our children.

What I must say, though, is that I think there must be an alternative to using ...

  2. Tears, Idle Tears

Doesn't seem like we're going to Lebanon after all. Government travel warning.

I'm fine with it but my dad and mom... My dad doesn't know because he isn't even awake yet, but he's been counting the days till we go.

I must leave your desire now
Now you are apart from me
And I know you will not come to me
    I don’t think so I should wait
    Of cores I love you

Now I have come to realize
    You have nothing to me
But really I want you to know
I have precious love feeling for you
I have profuse love for you

  4. My Daddy

I hope it's okay to share this here but my father passed away yesterday. He was such a good man and I hope to share a few little stories about him soon. I've been thinking about his googly eyes and crying. Sometimes if he didn't quite know what to say or if something was a little risque or funny, he would raise his eyebrows and roll his eyes back and forth. It always made me laugh. I'm going to miss you Daddy.

  5. H*** in a Handbasket

Well, life sucks. Miserably. If anyone has advice, I'd much appreciate it-- I'm like an animal backed into a corner... by my mother and my sister. Both of which are bipolar.
To make such a long, painful, obnoxious, and rather wearying story short would be difficult, but I shall try to be brief.
Last weekend, my sister bought a cell phone from Walmart without my parents knowledge. She chatted to her friends on Instant Messenger about it, bragging. SHe was, at the time, on telephone,
