I decided to post this here as well First off I want to say that I didn’t sign up for a visit from Larry because I did not want the responsibility. I think it is a great idea and it sounds like something it would be fun to be a part of, but this is a hectic time for me and I doubt that I will be participating in any such activities until I’m done with graduate school. That’s a long time from now. Now I feel I should explain for my mother since she hasn’t been on ...
It's funny, all the eighth graders were gone, so there were only the three 9th graders in the class one day, so we were playing uno. Ms. Deladurantey and I were acting like our comments pertained to the game, as we explained to each other the vast spite and malice and contempt we held, each for the other. "I hate you Ms. D!" It's Memorial Day weekend and what a better time than to start planting my flowers in the backyard and on my deck. The sun is shining and the birds are singing. Yesterday I started in my backyard. I was speechless, for one of my heroes was before me. All I want to do is kiss Suzie, and tell her how much I LOVE her. Without her I am ...
lyrical and unpredictable Hiroshima Mon Amour is a movie Virginia Woolf would have been proud of. it is stream of consciousness right before your eyes. the film starts off with entwined limbs covered with ashes, then abruptly cuts to a series of vignettes similar to Citizen Kane's "News on March". This scene is followed by the proper story where a French actress shoots a "peace" film in Hiroshima while her Japanese lover follows her. Their affair is intercut with flashbacks as ...
