    Ok, I have all the stuff ordered for the fence. It will go up this weekend. All in I think I am looking at having spent approx $600 on it - much better than the 2K the contractor wanted.

    I noticed a request for pics, will get to this eventually.

    Head is feeling like normal i.e empty

    Checked the glasgow section of the BBC website. 11 articles: 5 are about someone getting murdered. 2 are about things getting stolen. 1 about vandalism. 1 reporting that Scotland ...

  2. Everything in its right place

    So, it's been a month, and I'm still feeling a bit...I dunno, something, like I need to do something. It's been a good month, writing, playing with my kids, figuring some things out. I've still got, I think, a long way to go, but I'm getting there.

    I've started working on a poetry collection, though goodness knows if I'll ever find a publisher for it. It's all about moments, inspired by feelings generated in a particular time or place. Here are two of the poems; the second is still ...

  3. Gems Along the Way

    One aspect to this literary journey that is most pleasing is the discovery of new authors that I never read before and quite honestly had never considered reading before. In the introduction to the Barnes and Noble edition of The Magnificant Ambersons, I learned that William Dean Howells was considered the King of realism and Frank Norris was instrumental in the naturalist movement. I want to address Norris in this entry.

  4. Henry James Marathon

    A couple of months ago I ventured on my 3rd Jane Austen Marathon, and after that decided to give this task a long break, for I had my plans to read her novels ten times. With this I am also on my 2nd year trying to finish the Modern Library Top 100 list, hoping to read each title twice, now I am on my first run with 66 titles down.     before i post another piece of my story, i would like to thankall of you who come on here and actually read my story.
    when i first posted my first piece to my hit story,i was hesitant, and...i admit it-scared. i didn't know what people wuold think of it.
    i was so surprised that so many people loved it.and i will continue with the story....but not today!

    i took a break.
    and you guys still haven't read the last entry...see ya laterz!
