  1. Matthew’s First Halloween

Matthew had his first Halloween, and though he was oblivious to what it was we think he enjoyed it. He went as a monkey, which we think is very appropriate. We got him a cute little outfit and you can see it in the pictures below. We only went to a few houses to trick-or-treat, my mother’s and her neighbor’s and my mother-in-law’s. He only got a few candy bars and since we aren’t allowing him to have chocolate yet the parents got to eat the candy bars.

  5. The Wedding--Part Three

So here I am sitting in the Portland Oregon airport without (to my relief) the responsibility of not geting scratches on a new rental car and contemplating the 14 miles or so journey to our hotel where hopefully there are no more unexpected surprises awaiting.

As with Atlanta I am gazing out at the skyline of Oregon viewing the mountains and fir tress in the distance. The trees begin to take on the aspect of a horde of lawn gnomes from the Travelocity commercials and I chuckle at ...
