The cat and the listless tree.

A listless tree in the moonshine,
Without a rustle in the leaves.
A silent hope to cherish,
Through the mid-summer night's breeze.
The cat yawns a stretch,
Grooms its lusterous hair.
It flinches at the leaves,
Although there's nothing there.
In such a spell-bound dream,
A trilogy left awake.
The mystique and the nuture,
A blessing to forsake.
Until finally a sun-ray,
The leaves sit and lie still.
The cat and the listless tree,
Left to contain her will.
