The Nation of the Glorious Turnip

With their head in dark places

Rate this Entry
In history there have been many leaders who have had their head up a dark place, like ostriches only in a different dark place. It doesn't matter if you have the best intentions or not, with your head up a dark place you can't really see what's going on and your actions will end up being wrong.

I'm not saying it is easy to be a leader, I'll do far worse in all likelihood, were I in such a dark place. I also understand that it is impossible to please everyone, but in the end, you have to get year head back into the fresh Vacuum of the universe and see what is going on if you want to change things for the better.

The nation of turnips have been in a dark place for far too long, their betrayal still echoes across the galaxy, as the Martian armadas approach their Homeworld in a steady pace.

Their armies beaten, they have pulled back for a last line of defence, a small hurdle for the mighty fleet of warships, but that is only the beginning. Occupying the world of Turnipia will not be easy, there will be resistance, there will be attrition, but the alternative is total annihilation of their species. I will not make that call, even if the majority of Martians wish to do so. I would rather give up the throne than exterminate such a unique culture, but they must be rid of the influence of the abominable and enigmatic guinea pigs. They are diabolically against all life, and such a thing cannot be condoned by reasonable men. The far eastern nebula will see many dead turnips today, in the hopes that those that survive will find a better future.

AimusSage -- this may sound like a strange question, but have you ever played the video game Baldur's Gate II?

Most certainly, Jan Jansen and Minsc are my two favourite characters from the best PC RPG ever made. It is what my entire life revolves around. Also, I was reminded of the space hamster by playing Mass Effect 2, where you can buy one to keep on your spaceship.

So true. One has to take a stand and face the critics. And not just in politics but at work or in general life itself. Those that are too timid to take a stand will never be leaders. I liked this Aimus.
