over the worst of it

well after the horrible weekend i've had, i'm glad to say i'm over the worst of It! Was able to eat a bit yesterday but was very ill last night and the early hours of this morning. Was back to the doctor today as i am in a lot of pain, mainly abdominal. She doesnt think i've done any damage to my organs but has put me on motillium to ease any discomfort. She didnt want to risk putting me on any other tablets as she didnt know how my body might react! truthfully I didnt want to risk it either! I'm also put on an antibiotic anti inflammatory throat spray as the opiates also caused problems in my throat. Its hurt to talk and eat. Not that eating has gotten very far with the nausea and vomiting as a result of the reaction.
My pharmasist has told me to be careful with any anti inflammatorys pills from now on as i might be allergic to more than this! so its now on my file that i cant take these tablets. She also told me that my body had probably gone in to overdose mode! But thankfully i'm alive and kicking!
all this because of a trip to the dentist! its been a rough weekend!

    Well I am glad that you are over the worst of it... and as you say, who'd have thought that visiting a dentist would have brought all this on! You continue to take care, Niamh -- I was thinking that in spite of things, that you had to make an appearance at work, how horrible that must have been. Well, thinking of you, Kizzo

    it was horrible but when i started to get that "if i just close my eye the pain will go away" drowsy feeling i knew i need to stay awake! best thing to do was work! Mind you i was more of a hindrence! But i did nine hours on sat and went home to bed.

    Geesh - who knew a trip to the dentist would yield life-threatening results! How horrible! I'm glad you're okay but I"m so pissed at your dentist. I'm scared about what your doctor said about damaged organs. I think my organs are damaged from my overdose - once damaged, it can't be reversed. Please make sure your doctor runs all the tests required to determine the extent of its effects - I'd hate for you 10 years down the road to suffer some result and be unable to make the dentist pay your medical bills, because he should.

    I was completely unaware of the problems you've been having. Here's hoping that you are feeling much better and that the worst of it is indeed over with. If anything, Take Care of Yourself and Hope You're Up and About Very Soon.
