what a day!

well its been one hell of a day and i dont think its over yet!

Started off by going to the dentist. Had to get a filling in my wisdom tooth on the upper right hand side. Was aparently bad and she told me i might get little pain. Couldnt eat fot 3hrs which eould mean 2.30pm.

After that headed the credit union and put money in my savings, my sisters savings and paid money off my mams loan. then off to the bank and paid money off my credit card. headed home.

Face was pretty numb and couldnt wait for the sensation to go away and i definitely couldnt wait till i could eat! It became a game of watch the clock! soon 2.30pm arrived, time to eat! made some noodles because they were soft and would be easy to eat on left side of mouth. As i started eating them the numbing finally went away and then Wham! my mouth exploded in pain and it shot through my head. I was in agony. Managed to take a couple of Tylex(a pain killer i have for my intercostal neuralgia, but an hour an ten minutes later and the pain was still horrendous! If i moved slightly, the pain shot through my nervous system in my head. With tears coming out of my eyes like a waterfall, and with my brothers help, i managed to keep my head so what still.

My mother who was visiting my Aunt in hospital arrived home at 4pm to find me in floods of tears. She rang the dentist...gone! Finished for the weekend! so off we went to the doctors. The doctor i saw had a good moan about dentists, and was very concerned about me. Told me that i shouldnt go to wotk tomorrow but when i explained to her that i was literally the boss tomorrow and that there would be no one to cover for me, she told me to make sure i didnt operate any machinery. She told me all she could do for me was give me painkillers and antibiotics as it appeared that the area around the tooth was inflamed. She also told my mam and me to maybe ring the dental hospital to find out if they have 24hr service as the filling may need to come back out again as the nerve may have been damaged. it also looks like i'm getting an absys.

Now the pain is slightly gone as the new painkillers, an opiate called Tradol?, have kicked in. Feel a bit dizzy and very lightheaded but heck! Anything is better than the pain i've just gone through! still its only 6.50pm, who knows what else is going to happen!

And how was your day!

oh man! what a day! I hope you'll be feeling better soon. Dentists are abso-bleedin-lutely horrendously painful. The only people who can make me feel uncomfortable are dentists and opthalmologists, so I know how you feel!

thankfully the painkillers are working. Thing is they are a really strong painkiller and i still feel a slight bit of pain. I'm extremely drowsy and lightheaded now and i've to take more at 9pm. I've to take two four times a day and one antibiotic four times aday. my doc told me not to take a painkiller before work tomorrow. i now understand why!.........i very angry with my dentist. She had mentioned that my cavity had been very deep and down to my nerve. said she had to put a special protective paste thing round it and that i might feel a slight bit of pain. I'm telling you one thing the pain i was going through was NOT a SLIGHT bit of pain. I've never felt anything like it before and i suffer from neuralgias, i've sprained my ankle, have had inside of my throat cut by a fish bone and i've had a splinter of wood an Inch and a half long impale my baby toe. THIS pain surmounts everything. It had my temples, ears, eyes and intire mouth pounding!

I hope your day gets much better. I would be calling the dentist on Monday and having a royal fit. If she even suspected you could be in pain like this, why didn't she give you a script for a pain killer. I'm sorry it has been such a tough one and I hope tomorrow is better for you.

I've taken a re-action to the painkillers. My mam went back up to the docs this morning with then and the Doc that was on is my doc, who wasnt there yesterday. She went mad when she saw the tablets i was given, which were suggested by her dad and perscribed by her mum! family docs eh! She told my mam that i'm too small for these, that i'm only a little thing. Got new tablets now, but i have to wait till the ones i've re-acted to leave my system........I've the shakes, i'm drowsy, dizzy, vomiting, sweating and i've flushes........I'm really not having a good time!
