Halls of the Dark Muse

Only A Face

Again I thought
I saw your face
how bitter the taste
in a passing glimpse
where memories of the past
are reflected
behind the glass
which separates us
the wall that is beyond
penetration
so you lurk
in shadows
and corner of the eyes glances
starting upon the corner
crossing the street
passing a storefront window
it comes in a flash
and fades away
while I watch
bound in silence
and riddled with uncertainty.
