Foxtrot's Theories

Son of the night.

Rate this Entry
Sun of the moonshine.
The darkest day.
What a magical sight,
wasted away.

Beauty on the night,
hope of day.
Too much to wish for,
dreaming away.

Too much good,
fall to the ground.
Must have balance,
must be found.

A day of darkness,
forever asleep.
A ray of light,
something to keep.

Never both be,
a blessing in right.
Son of the moon,
Sun in the night.

Yer, I know. Usually the moon is the son of the day. Nevermind.

I can't half imagine what this is about.

I guess you can't have too much of a good thing. Like beautiful sunshine and a shimmering night. They'd mess each other up.

I thought that his was beautiful, but than I can be quite biased when it comes to references to the moon

A lovely poem though with some wonderful imagery.

This is, by far, my favorite work of yours. You have just painted an abstract image in my mind. Well done.

Yay!! Thank you!! I can't imagine what you see in it, personally, I've written a tonne othe like these at school and nobody liked them.

Still, I did get 100% on the imagery unit.

    Thank you so much!!

Bravo! Beautiful! I truly love this poem! I've read some of the other poems you've posted on here, and though I remember most of them as being quite good, none of them were as great and wonderfully written as this one! I never knew you were this good, and I am 100% serious. Wonderful rhyming. Love it.

I think it's good. It has rhythym and rhyme (but it's not rhymie, you know), and it leaves one with something to think about.
