My Favorite Christmas Carol

After listening to almost non-stop Christmas Carols for the past few weeks, I've concluded (at least for now ) that this is my favorite carol and sung to unbelievable beauty and perfection by Andrea Bocelli.

He sings the first two stanzas in Italian and the last in English, so stick with it. He truely has an incredible voice, my favorite living singer. I also recommend his Christmas album that came out just before the holidays: "Andrea Bocedlli: My Christmas." This song is included on the album.

Here are the lyrics in English, if you want to follow along. Like most lyrics, it always seems to sound prettier in Italian.

    Thank you ladies. Becca, that entire album is excellent.

    Mom-H, Until this Christmas season I don't think I had ever heard that carol before. But I got Natalie Cole's Christmas version and she knocked me off my feet with it. I think I just posted a version in someone's blog. Here check it out:

    This is one of the great ones agreed on that. My personal favorite is really Bing Crosby's rendition of Do You See What I See with runner up being Hark the Herald Angels Sing

    Wonderful! I love Bocelli, too. I wrote something up in your Youtube page. I loved this rendition of "Angels We Have Heard on High"...always sing along to that song, one of my favorites. too....the Italian and the arrangement is terrific...very uplifting at the end. I love "Little Drummer Boy", as well...I see it's on your channel page; which, by the way, is growing nicely with interesting videos in your favorites.

    Bing is terrific. I happened to pick up a CD, really cheap after Christmas one year, and this year I am loving it...lot of old classics...one sung by Bing...maybe "Little Drummer Boy"...I will check album. I just saw him in the classic film with Ingrid Bergman - "The Bells of St. Mary's"...a little corny at times, but definitely a "classic"; makes a lovely Christmas film; Ingrid and Bing were great!
