Yes. I've gotten an award at school.
It is called the All-Rounders award.
Whether it only applies to someone in my year level, I'm not quite sure yet. However I am the only student to get it.
So I'm proud of myself.
What happened was, I found out at the junior awards assembly.
At first, because I didn't know it existed, I thought all of the awards had been out, and I was crying because I'd put in a lot of work and had very high marks, but I didn't get anything.
The campus principal asked why I was crying and I said I just expected too much of myself.
He then said that I would be pleasantly surprised.
So he took the microphone and announced that I'd won this award, even though we weren't supposed to find out until two days after that assembly.
I was happy, but I still didn't like that I hadn't won an academic award.
I thought it was just some little award.
Then my mum called up the head of the education board, who is one of her friends, and then we found out that it is an extremely prestigious award and I must be doing very well.
So now I'm happy again.
The All-Rounders award is an award for not just academia, but excellence in all areas.
It means that I have been, to put it most plainly, WAY TOO TOTALLY AWESOME, in pretty much everything, for example, community work, school work, college and co-curricula involvement and keeping the teachers and students happy whilst staying out of trouble.
So I'm happy...
YAY!!
