The time clock trips

The girls' time on
To sweat the small stuff.
The men have gone
So, too, have comments gruff.
A factory job
Requiring lots of experience
From within the jittery mob
Enclosed in a fence
Of dedication,
Embattled densely
In home duties striation
By taskdrivers surly and motley.
When they finish off their duty shift,
There's a new one to fulfill
The lock stock and barrel lift
Them up as high as Bill,
And when they finally fall away
And sleep a sleep of deliverance
They know that in the following day
Their unwieldy scourge is penitence.
