Peace at Last!

Well everyone has shipped out to go back to L.A. today, though I like visiting with my sister and my brother-in-law can be useful, with them having the kids here it disrupts my solitude and most importantly interrupts my reading so I am behind on a few of my books now. Though I was quite impressed that I managed to finish off three books yesterday.

I finished up The Road, so I am prepared to watch the movie now, and I wrapped up Emma and A Farewell to Arms the other day.

My one year old niece was bound and determined to watch The Secret Window. The entire time she was here, several times a day she would walk over to my DVD shelf and would grab The Secret Window, but never touched any of the other movies, just that one, and she would walk around the house with it. Than as they were packing up to leave, she pulled the movie off the shelf and started walking toward the door.

The antichrist tore apart my room, though under my supervision, I pretty much let her do what she wants in my room as long as she doesn't touch anything that she knows are off limits and she knows I am not as gullible as everyone else, so she knows not to test my limits if she doesn't want to loose all of her privileges. Though I have to restack my wall o' books again, but I have to take credit for having knocked some of them down. But when they are here I pretty much just leave my room in a state of Chaos until they leave.

So eventually now I am going to have to deal with that.

I keep a very close eye on my library room when the little ones are here. So far it has NOT been a problem. But I figure the age of mischief making sneaking some looks are abiut five years yet. We rarely have company so when we do I'm on egg shells until I can my beloved privacy back. Not really a social person. I prefer phone calls or quick lunches at McDonalds or Arbys.
