day in a life

life is such a lonely thing. and a strange thing. there is a poem by an icelandic man, my favourite icelandic poet about how he and the world were always against each other, but Life hated them both and took the only thing they both loved a little girl. it's beautiful. I wish you guys could read it. maybe I'll try to translate it, though it would never be as good as it is now.

I like being alone, and that is probably the only time I'm never lonely. I'm so enjoying reading a lot these days and I have so many books I want to read in the next few days and weeks.

I wish I could have some time off from work and just be by myself and do what I want. I have a day off on wednesday but I have to babysit twins while their mom goes to funeral and buries her mom... it's ok I just wanted to have some time for myself cause next week I have to work the whole week. not that I'm complaining I don't work as much as other people around me so...

I am so glad I finally found my favourite movie on dvd. The Legend of 1900. it's so good I have been looking for it for so long. but I can't seem to find an english version of the book it's based on it's italian called Novecente I think or something like that. I love this move it's my favourite of all times definitely. and it's very lonely.

I'm gonna go into the city tomorrow, it's not long just a 10 minuet drive but I rarely need to go there except to visit my brother and he's not downtown but west town, gonna buy the last christmas present.

next friday the first santa comes to town, we have 13 here on the ice and they visit one at a time and give kids something good in their shoe, they put a shoe in the window for santa to see and bring them something. this a very old tradition and these Santa's are a lot older than most others. they used to be mean and steal and their parents are ogres who eat kids that have been naughty and they also have a very big cat that eats all the kids that don't get some new clothes for christmas. but they are all nice now.
