Well another work shift has come and gone. We drilled a horizontal well to a depth of 21,200ft measured depth (7,250ft true vertical depth). This would look like the letter L with the upright shorter than the leg. Its maybe the third time I've drilled more than 20,000 ft on a well. We were less than 100 ft from drilling a record measured depth for this formation in Alaska.
Also the rig is celebrating its one year without a lost time accident. That represents 166,440 hours of work without an injury. Today they had a steak and Alaskan King crab dinner to celebrate.
I fly to Anchorage tomorrow, and back to Wisconsin for one of the last times before I move to Alaska for a bit, and/or possibly Hawaii. Lots of time off coming up, but I don't know what I plan to do. Probably lots of biking and walking. Sorry if this is a little bit boring for an entry. Have a good June.![]()
