Oh I remember this from Antiquarian. I may have done this once before in a past blog. Worth doing again. Wonder if my answers changed.
Peter - Have you kept in touch with Antiquarian? I would love to email her. One of the greatest losses for lit net was when she got banned.
1. What is one book that changed your life:
No single book really has changed my life, but if any one rose to that level I would say Dante's Divine Comedy.
2. What is one book that you’ve read more than once: Lots of books more than once. Most recent Virgil's The Aeneid.
3. What is one book you’d want on a desert island: Robinson Crusoe.
4. What is one book that made you laugh: Lucky Jim by Kingsley Aimis stands out.
5. What is one book that made you cry: Most recently The Road by Cormac McCarthy.
6. What is one book that you wish you had written: William Faulkner's Light In August.
7. What is one book that you wish had never been written: I agree with Peter for the same exact reasons: Das Kapital. But Freud's work is really pretty silly too.
8. What is one book you’re currently reading: Grendel by John Gardner. Outstanding! Thanks to Jozanny for the recommendation.
9. What is one book that you’ve been meaning to read: Lots. How about Atonement by Ian McEwan.
10. What is one book that you recommend to almost everyone: Shakespeare's opus.
