Sunday

Ah. Sunday. A day of doing nothing. Sundays are usually dull for me. I got up at around 11:20am. Would have stayed in bed longer but I was bored. Now we are watching my mother's favorite film "Pirates of the Caribbean" (We being myself and my mother) staring my mother's hero Captain Jack Sparrow. I must say, I'm amazed by the animation of Davy Jones' tentacles. They move when he does and squirm about like live tentacles. I commend the animators.
We're not supposed to have it yet. It's a long story. And I have the time to tell it.
My father always has trouble buying presents for my mother and me. I told him what she really wanted, POTC2. But he decided to get something else. So, I told her, so that she could buy POTC2 when it came out. But then dad called to tell me he'd got it and to stop mum from buying it. So I called her to tell her not to get it. She wasn't happy about it because that meant she had to wait over a month to see it. So I had to come up with a compromise. I said that she could buy it but she had to hide it. She watches it most Sundays (And Saturdays too, when Tom has told us that he won't be coming or I won't be going to see him). So, after that I called dad to tell him that I'd managed to put mum off the idea. So, everyone was happy. Except me. Dad says that I'm the one that's going to give it to her so I owe him a tenner for it. But I've already got mum something else she wanted, a nice pair of slippers, meaning I'm near broke. So I don't see why dad can't give it to her. She'll know who it's really from anyway.
This echoes of a few years ago.
About two years ago I bought a jumper in the January sales for my mother' birthday. It was £24, then £12 and finally £6. Well within my price range at the time, and in her size too. Trouble was I wasn't sure if she'd like it. So I sold it to dad for £6. I regret not pushing the price up to £12 to make a little profit. Dad was stuck on what to get her while I had brought a few other things as well as the jumper. It was a fair enough trade. Mum knew I was the one that bought it, because dad never buys her clothes in the right size or style. Just like now. She'll know that I haven't really bought her the DVD because disks are out of my price range.
Well, I think this entry is long enough now.
Today's advent chocolate was a Christmas tree, very cute.
