it's my day off today and I need to study a lot. finally finished my questionnaire and put it on the pet thread, gonna put it in the social groups too. don't know if that will help at all but I'm gonna do it anyway. I need to start doing the report on Saturday so I will only be able to use what I get before that time. I just hope it's enough....

well I'm starting USA history now and need to find myself a book that is good about history... check the library later today... I also have a big project for children's literature and a very exciting one in biology about worms... feeling very lucky these days...

I'm not sleeping very well these days for some reason. lie awake in bed for hours to tired to read but not enough to sleep. getting tired of it. last night I couldn't sleep I kept thinking about a song on a CD my son has. I like the CD cause it's not just for kids but for the parents too. this song I can't get out of my head is a boy asking his mom why she can't be more like Barbie. there is also a very scary song about the monsters in your closet....

I'm so tired I think I'll nap for a few minuets...

    Hey dear Helga, I do think a sleep is in order here. Take a deep breath, have a rest and maybe all will fall into place by the morning. Keep well rested.

    I have been having a hard time sleeping too. Worrying about dumb things. Sleep better soon...

    I suspect that you are having trouble sleeping, Helga, because your mind is in high gear a lot of the time nowadays, and you are probably having a hard time shutting it down at night.

    I always read at bedtime, but I occasionally find that it keeps me awake instead of helping me fall asleep. You might try the old-fashioned way of falling asleep, turning out the light and lying quietly in the dark.

    As oddly cliche as it sounds, warm milk always works for me. When I was still doing school, and even now when I've an idea for something, I'll just lie there for hours and think. Warm milk and some calming music normally help. If that doesn't work, I'll have the milk and watch some TV or something. Anything that will distract my mind from whatever is running through it.

    Hopefully you can get some rest soon. It is hard when you have so much going on.
