California ruining my fun

Living in CA really sucks right now. I had a moment to posses something of which I have been wanting for like ever, but because I live in CA I can't get it!

I have a long term obsession with cane swords. Which for those who are not weapon savvy, it is a cane in which a blade is concealed inside, and the handle of the cane, is the blades hilt.

So I was looking through their catalog that sells blades for incredibly reasonable prices, and they had this really wicked cool cane sword with a dragon's head top, and it was like really affordable.

But, in wimpy CA cane swords are illegal so in the catalog it says "will not ship to CA" and lists 2 or 3 other states as well.

I was sooooo disappointed.

    I'm sorry to hear that Dark Muse, as a cane sword sounds pretty cool.

    yeah it totally sucks, I think it is becasue of concealed weapon's laws within this state.

    Sword canes--shades of Ham from Doc Savage pulps.There was an old Bing Crosby movie whhere he played the "Singing Bandit" (can;t recall the title and towards the end HE used one. This is where you take a road trip someday to a Gun and Knife show and buy one.

    Haha, if I had a car, and a drivers liscence, I would have it shipped to my friend in Arizona, and than drive down to pick it up.

    One of my uncles actually has a genuine Edwardian cane-sword. It is, indeed, very cool.

    Why can't you have it shipped to her/him and have her/him repackage it and mail it to you? Might be against the law somehow, but how would they know? Might not be a bargin any longer then with the additional shipping.

    Yeah I hear you about California. I bet New York was one of those states.

    I was not sure about the mailing thing, I would not want to get him in trouble, cause I know when I ship things they ask you questions about what you are shipping, I am not sure if they could find out what it is. I would be sketchy on trying to smuggle illegal weapons into the state via mail.

    I think New York is, I know that it is listed as "will not ship" to on a few other items.

    Yeah, I wouldn't want to get someone in trouble. Perhaps they xray packages. Good point.
