First Snow

A light dusting of snow has fallen today.

Just outside my window from where I sit at work is a lake. I have loved to see those new flakes of this new winter fall into the still-open water and disappear into the best form of our best element: water.

It makes for a lovely scene -- the trees still half-leaved and snow-covered. The lake still open and inviting. The snow from the sky merges in a kiss with the snow from winters 100 years ago.

Nice. But you can keep the snow. I don't want to see that stuff for a long time, if ever.

Dude, you got snow. We're forecasted for snow soon. It's going to be a hell of a winter! Awesome! I'm jealous, but I can't ski this year b/c of the baby. Glad you were able to enjoy the view from work.

You dare say the four letter word... we're expecting snow next week. I'd be happy if it never came. Snow=no biking, tonnes of blankets on horses, frozen hoses, me falling over lots, cranking the furnace, etc... keep the snow.

SNOW? what is this snow you speak of? we get ice...thats about it...oh and hell... but no snow, Those lucky not to live in texas should post pictures of this snow. but carefull I met it once in IL and kicked it like they do in movies and broke my toe...don't kick it. But you make snow sound very lovely...
