Hear the rumbling subway from underground
And feel the groaning which knaws from inside
And the fist-fighting rage of dark-alleyways
And unmitigated exhales of instinct
And thoughtless wrecks of innocence
And pounding heads into pulp upon dinner-tables
And flashing sunlight above the skies
My dear city.
