We are having wonderful weather here in Ireland but the humidity is horrific! Its fluctuating from 84%-96% humidity here in Dublin. Poor cork had 100% on sunday! The temp is only about 20-26 degrees cel, which to some of you is not much,but to us here in Ireland it is when you heap high humidity % to it! People here are finding it hard to sleep at night because of the heat and pressure of the humidity pushing down on them.

Its the only time of year we actually want, and beg, for stormy weather. Just an hour or two of lightning and the humidity will be reduced and we can have a nice warm and cool summer! Last summer was horrible because of the humidity, but in saying that, the weather we are having now is what we had last august! This is only June! If its like this now, i can only imagine what it will be like in August.

I spent last summer dehydrated and with a constant heat rash under my arms which made my job very difficult to do, as it involves a lot of manual lifting etc. Sweaty work in other words.I dont want to go through that again.

so please nature! Just a nice storm, big enough to get rid of the humidity!

    HAH! I live in Florida and totally understand. (-: We had the same up until yesterday, then...downpour. It was wonderful. I'm sad, though, because as of yet we haven't had heat lightning - I actually live for heat lightning. It's one of the most exciting parts of summer for me; the most magnificent display of light in the entire world (possibly universe). Nothing known to man can approximate it's beauty. God is truly the most spectacular ARTIST ever - after all, he also created Orlando Bloom. (-:
    I'll pray for rain in your Ireland.

    I really hope the storm you were hoping for, came and went and cleared the air. Now you can do the same for me here in New York City. Yesterday, and today, and what promises to continue for the next three days, will be as hot as a Turkish Bath in this city. New York is notorious for its very hot/humid summers and equally cold/ice-laden winters; this is truer over the past ten-twenty years than ever before. It's typical to have hot summers, but what is the defining ingredient to the heat is, of course, the humidity. Last summer we had nearly 5 weeks of temperatures reaching the mid 90s and never falling much lower than that during the day. I guess it's because New York City is bordered by New Jersey, Long Island, the Hudson River and the Atlantic Ocean: the humidity becomes entrapped within these land/sea bodies and just "sits" here. In short, you have a fellow sufferer on this side of the Atlantic.
