It's funny, I noticed today, after looking through my blog; I seem unable to write a single positive or optimistic poem. Probably the only one posted on here is Noon, other than that, all of my poems seem to be so cynical and morose. . . .even when I'm feeling great, I still must write something cynical

I have tried writing some positive stuff, but it always comes out (from my perspective) as typical and cliched. I suppose my only output of optimism can be found in my prose, which, even then is merely good-humoured.

    Daniel,

    I think it is very natural that when you are feeling "moody", you turn to yourself and your thoughts rather than seeking the company of others. And when one is alone with oneself, writing is another discourse method.

    I am sure, when you are happy and chirpy, you'd much rather be on the Forum and post-chat with your buddies.

    The same thing happens to me, even when i'm happy everything i write is slightly morbid. Even if i try to write about sunshine and kittens it always takes another shape when i'm done with it.
