day in a life

elves, trolls, ghosts and my coffee

I'm reading old folktales for school, used to read them a lot when I was younger, there are thousands of them here about elves and trolls and ghosts but the most popular ones are about the people who were here before us and live in rocks and lava. the can harm you if you do them wrong but reward you greatly if you please them. Interesting and kinda scary. I found it very interesting that the Cinderella story is know in over 200 countries, with minor changes according to the place it's supposed to have happened. Here many of the folk tales include three sisters and the youngest one is a slave for the others but in the end she does something to save the others or is picked as a bride for a rich man and she usually forgives her sisters, their names are always the same Ása, Signy and Helga the young one. I loved those stories as a kid.

There is a book market I haven't visited yet that I'm gonna check out today. I just love them. I went to one last week and bought myself two books now it's payday and I'm ready to spend a little money...

I decided to find myself some light reading this winter, just something to read before I go to bed to try and get my mind of school. I'm gonna start with Rebecca by Daphne Du Maurier. then maybe Underground by Murakami and something I'll pick up at the market today, I'm gonna wait 'till next spring to read part 2 of Don Quixote.

It's my day off so I'm gonna go study and maybe read a bit.

I love days where you can spend money on books you can read before you go to bed. I'm currently reading the Rainbow and I love it. Wonderful way to spend time.

Folktales are brilliant and timeless. I too love cuddling up on a cold night, under a warm quilt with a cup of tea and a good book. Sounds blissful.
