Hiya everyone!!
I am LOVING life at PHC. Every single one of my classes has tons of reading assigned AND (read, O Litnetters, and be jealous) most of my textbooks AREN'T textbooks but actual works of literature. Beowulf, Epic of Gilgamesh, Walden, etc. Which translates to mean I'll be taking most of my books home with me.
I have five classes (have to leave for one in precisely one minute) which are:
U.S. History I
History of Western Civilization I
Logic
Theology of the Bible I
and Research and Writing.
For those five classes I have somewhere in the vicinity of seventeen books. These are:
Beowulf
Epic of Gilgamesh
Walden
Uncle Tom's Cabin
Knowledge of the Holy
Trial and Death of Socrates
On Christian Liberty
The Prince
For the Record (compilation of edited letters and documents from history - REALLY cool!)
Loving God With All Your Mind
A Concise Dictionary of Christian Theology
Critical Thinking (textbook)
America: A Narrative History (textbook)
The Making of America (textbook)
Sources of The Making of America (also textbook)
Strunk and White's Elements of Style
Turabian's Manual for Writers
Worldly Saints: the Puritans as They Really
Were
Isn't it cool? Don't you wish you could come to PHC? It's a college MADE for literary types! Even in the biology class they read and discuss Darwin!
