A Mirror Floating in Water

Death

Rate this Entry
Deteriorating produce
Entranced the faceless tide
Of distant memory, in regulated apathy
Thy twist and turns like thorns, in knots, upon knot
Sand of the desert, falling to dusty fingers
With blood-stream tubes draining from veins.

Drying skin, hanging upon clothesline
Melting fortitude, slop and air breezed the winds
And all time begins to slander upon the eyes
A silent decomposing whimper from the vale
Fabrics of space, infinitely expanding
As this box condenses.

To all of time’s syllables
The ticks and tocks expand
To the unbearable silence
In the thoughtless void of white

So now your humming haunts
Me, my sweet ghost
As the vacuum of your presence
Drains all memory.
