Caution,Wet Grass!!!

Since I've been lacking in my excercise routine I decided to go to the park with my dog this morning. As soon as I got my bag and her leash she knew she was going for a ride. She's becoming much calmer in the car except for when I park, then the howling starts and she always manages to do it in my ear!!!!

We get out of the car and she starts sniffing everywhere. There were some horses in the park recently (big piles of horse poo) which she had to inspect. I decide to take her along a path then onto a big grass field. We're walking along and in the distance I see a man with his 2dogs (Boxers). I should mention that they were not on a leash. I was praying that my dog would not see them because she would want to run over to them. Well, guess what ? She saw them and started pulling me towards them. I'm trying to stop her from pulling but like I said we were in a grass field and my sneakers kept sliding along the grass till my legs went out from under me. I slipped on my *** but at least I held onto the leash!!! I was so embarrassed Oh,did I mention the guy kept on walking I muttered underneath my breath, don't worry I'm ok *******!!!!

Anyway, I got up and we continued on our merry way. After a while we stopped at a bench and I gave her some water and one of the dog biscuits I had made for her. As we were sitting there a man and his little daughter walked by. All the little girl wanted to know is what my dogs name was. I told the girl my dogs name and then she said bye doggie.

After 1/2 hour of walking I decided it was time to go home. Now she is resting.

I can so relate to this blog. My dog likes to eat the poop, gross! You may want to try a gentle leader, it works for my beagle who pulls like a maniac and no training will break his nose of the habit. I hate wet grass, yuck! Were you in Central Park or somewhere else?

Jersea: I was at a park not far from my house. I would have loved to take her by the lake in the park but I know she would have gone after the ducks and geese and I didn't want to end up in the water
