A Mirror Floating in Water

Face frozen in time
To the stillness of light
The candle will not flicker
And the horn will not play
Despite his round rose cheeks
Seamlessly forcing air into the tube
With no sound to hear
But the pause in his voice
Sounding out on a blue




Light And Darkness

1.
‘good morning’ said the sun
Tis the third of March, or April?
The body once dead has now arisen
Redeemed of the black singing night hours
Only now to Fall
Sunside paradise unfit for all
That is human

Of course though, such things are costly
Though, I must admit, that today is new
But the Brink, still rings true
As it twists and turns
The days doomed only to
Repeat themselves

Do I know this? Am I aware?
But now looking back
I thought not.

2.
The sun’s reflection arose
As it shined with such high flamboyance
Unto my pale face and airy bed-sheets
Tis’ noon and past.
Time is evident
Due to my current state of claustrophobia
But now I have something different to reflect on:

It was dark, it was dark night, when
I blinked, I blinked
And I seemed to see, right ahead of me
My atmosphere, consumed by darkness
And light and time, which
Had drained, along with the walls of logic
Having collapsed under a burst of the rapid flood thought
Impenitrating the structures which had stood for four thousand years
Washing away the old sinful world
and creating a vast clear land, open to new possibilities




Schoolteacher

There, she would sit
And watch the children at their games
Lost, innocent and free.
Playful memories awaken.
