Living Breathing Contradiction...

Standing by the river
A strange reflection glaring back at me
A furrow upon her brow
Reviling her ordinary brown eyes
Her contradicting pale features
Reflect the fear in her heart
A sad simple smile
Plays across her pain stricken face
insecurity shines in those eyes
She is a stranger in her own skin
I reach down to wipe a tear from her face
My heart fills with dread as the water is disturbed
I realise that the reflection is me..
