The trouble with man is that he's stupid. Phenomenally stupid. That is, even if he's not really stupid, he's so ungrateful that another creature as ungrateful cannot be found.

    Yeah, you gotta love Dostoyevsky! My favourite quote of his is from The Brothers Karamazov ~ 'Beauty is a conflict between God & the Devil, & the battlefield is the heart of man'. (or something like that)
