…souls. Three days.
A little POTC2 for you
Not much I can say about today I’m afraid. It was pretty average.
Still perky but I’m detecting some little bits of…I wouldn’t call it sadness or depression, lowness perhaps. But they’re brief.
I’ve finally finished the Last battle, the last book in the Chronicles of Narnia. Though it’s happy, the ending was a bit sad (if any of you have read it, you’ll know why, but I won’t spoil it for the rest of you by giving away the ending.)
Just as well too because it’s due back tomorrow.
What? I hear you ask.
For the other books I sat in the library during my free lessons and read them. It took a while but I didn’t mind. But this last one, there was no way I could finish it by doing that. And besides, it’d be like with me IT, even though I’m not revising, I’d feel guilty doing something else when I should be revising. So I took it out to read over the half term. (But I didn’t, like I didn’t revise for business except for the revision session at school on the Friday and like I didn’t check my planner and remember I had English homework for Ms Miller to do and that she wanted it emailed to her over half term to mark for today’s lesson.)
But today I finished it. It was a great sense of accomplishment. I’m not sure which one is my favourite though. Like most stories and films, they seem to get a little darker as they go along. I say seem, because they may not and they just appear to, I mean the first book was a little dark at times, in fact they all were, with ruined, dying worlds, wicked witches, dying dragons and deceased Narnian lords, battles and tombs etc. I guess they all had dark aspects but they just seemed to get stronger as they went along.
What else have I done today?
Ah yes, I’ve been thinking up names of pirate ships. Some are quite good. Others seem a bit iffy. Next I just need to come up with some worthy space pirates to crew these ships, so far I’ve named five captains (The bounty hunters don’t count because they only use their ship(s) during the fight against the armada, they prefer to stay on the ground, which is why they chose to be bounty hunters and not pirates) but I’ve written a whole page of ships names.
Ideas?
By the way, the surnames of Read, Rackham, Morgan and Roberts are already taken, though Jones is quite common and Teach is beginning to edge it’s way in too. The most popular first names seem to be Jack, as I’ve already got two of them, both named after a pirate called Jack Rackham who I researched online.
So, names would be helpful, but don’t feel obligated, because I’ll either give up and stick with what I have or just not include the other pirates by name if need be. Either that or come up with stupid names. I’m not sure about the character nicknamed “Catfish” Cod. He’s a humanoid cat and captain of a ship called…wait for it…the Catfish. I just made him up today and it seemed to suit the ship.
Anyway, Cheers.
Let’s see, anything else?
Oh, I’ve discovered that corned beef and onion meat paste is okay but it’s better with tomato sauce in it to both soften the taste and spice it up a bit (not literally, because I hate spicy foods)
I think that’s all for now. Quite short compared to usual, then again this is my second blog in the week, and right after my last, of course there’d be less to say
Bluebiird out.
