Halls of the Dark Muse

No rest for the wicked...not even in dreams

Rate this Entry
Last night I had a really strange dream to say the least, though now I cannot recall all of the details of it, only the last part of it right before I woke up, which was like something from a movie.

In the dream, for some unknown, or perhaps no forgotten reason someone was attempting to assassinate my dearly beloved, and at some point, some how or other they ended up in a parking garage of some building.

Also, the hit man as it were bore something of a resemblance to Sean Connery. He was this dignified older looking man with a will trimmed gray beard, and he was wearing this gray suit with a tie, and had a pistol.

So they were coming down the stairs in the garage to the lower level and just as my dearly beloved came down the lest steps, the assassin fired and hit him, but at some point or other I somehow found out about this plot to assassinate my dearly beloved, and tracked them down, so I was there in the garage with a car, so when he got shut, he jumped into the car, and then I started to take off, and that is the point in which I began to wake up.

I hate those weird dreams. If I understood why we have them it would help. Glad you both got out of there alive!

It is in its own way kind of funny

Oh don't worry, I have these dreams all the time (although Connery has never made an appearance). I call them my 'action packed Arnold dreams'. I'm either being chased or doing the chasing, lots of big high tech guns and bombs, fast cards, super powers...I guess even when I'm asleep I'm hyper!

Most of my dreams are usually just like being on an acid trip. Or walking through a surreal painting, it was rare for me to acutally have a dream with a plot, and that made sense however bazzar.

You may dream this way, b/c you have an extraordinarily visual and imaginative mind. I don't know you that well, but I've known other people who dreamed wild dreams and thought like an artist. Crazy dream!

You have to love the crazy ones:) I think one my oddest to date was when I dreamed a bear swam across the water, climbed the back hill, and then came in my house to eat my son. At the time we were living in a one story, two bedroom, condo that overlooked part of Puget Sound. After the fact it was pretty amusing, but I did have to go and check on him when I woke up from it just for a bit of assurance. My problem is that they always seem all too real and I wake up horribly disoriented.
