Found my mind

It's not mine though, not anymore, it used to be, but it changed, and now all it can think about is Apple pie and raindrops falling on an empty street where for some reason an apple pie is eating a bird. For some reason that image makes me think of a rainy street in Detroit, but not the earth Detroit, the Detroit from outer space, with spaceships flying everywhere, some docking, some leaving, some performing dangerous stunts while being pursuit by the mounted police, who like to use space horses. On this city planet, there is this shady bar called 'O'shady's' that is filled with people, and one of those people is me. I crawl up to me and go back into my head, but something is wrong. My body has changed, and the mind no longer fits the body. It likes to sit in the bar and drink juice, turnip juice.
I ask myself, "What happened" but already know the answer: "Something changed, I'm different from when my mind was still inside of me. It's lost and I lost my body too."
And although both are lost, they are still obviously both in a shady bar called O'shady's having a drink and a laugh. Well not a laugh, more like a snickering, because the whole situation is a little bit funny, but most off all, completely surreal. Who would have that my mind would find me, not to mention that I would find my body in the same bar? What a coincidence! No matter, here I am, and here is where the story will continue with a revelation of some kind.
Is it a coincidence? Not really, because, apparently it was hard coded into the genetic make up off all living creatures in this universe that whenever someone looses their mind, they go to O'shady's. The reason? The owner of the bar is also the creator of the universe, and likes to have people in his bar to chat with. And chatty he is, this maker, who goes by the name 'Bob'. This name, Bob, as you all know is a palindrome. A funny coincidence, since when you reverse the universe, it's exactly the same too. Which brings us back to me and my mind, or me and my body.
When reversed, my mind is a dnim, and my body a ydob. These are obviously not actual words, but when you reverse only a small portion of the universe, exactly shaped like my reversed body and mind, you will get my body and mind, thus it all makes sense.
I noticed that I had a new drink, a cosmopolitan, it was decided by my mind that it was a typical example of the dependency of the body on alcoholic beverages. Which is obviously not true, since the mind likes alcohol just the same.
To cut a long story short, my mind and I both had a few more drinks, disagreed on many issues and then decided that turnips truly are the most magnificent vegetables in the universe, and, rightly so, the greatest part of The Nation of the Glorious Turnip.
In the end, I did not find my mind, nor did my mind find my body, but we still managed to function together as a team, with the occasional misfiring, which might result in galactic instability, but what are a few more black holes here and there? Plenty of stars to go around.
