Halls of the Dark Muse

My lizard is cute, but he is also quite the rascal. For anyone who has seen those commercials about the woman with the son who refuses to use his roll over minutes because they are old and he only wants brand new minutes for his phone, well that is how my lizard is when it comes to crickets.

He will only eat when I first feed him, but then after that, he can't be bothered with any crickets that might get away from him. He won't eat day old crickets even though they are perfectly fine. He is spoiled, but I am not feeding him anymore until the ones that are still there are gone.

I had to clean out his water dish today, and so I take the dish out of his habitat and burrowed beneath it are like 20 crickets at least, and then they got disturbed when I picked up the water dish so now I am trying to deal with his water and their are crickets crawling and jumping all over the place so then one of them gets out, when I am in the middle of refilling the water dish, so by the time I am able to deal with it, it has already hopped off somewhere I can't get it, so now there is a cricket loose somewhere in the house.

When I want the lizard to be eating his crickets he sleeps all day, but when I wish he would just sleep while I am trying to clean him or do other stuff, he is up and trying to escape every time the door of his terrarium is opened up for like a second.
