I was reading a book about coffee called 'Coffee a dark history' by Antony Wild. very good, he talks about the origin of coffee and traditions in different countries. also he talks about how the coffee market is one of the biggest slavery market in the world today. farmers picking the crops to early because they don't get very well paid for the beans. the work is very hard and this will always come down on the consumer because there is so much of low quality beans and therefor low quality coffee but people who don't care about the taste buy it so the market continues. I think there so much difference between low and high quality coffee. I may be a bit spoiled when it comes to coffee but I only drink from quality beans and factories that are fair trade or buy straight from the farmer, quality beans of course.
I love my coffee.
I only have two more weeks left of my summer vacation and I just don't want to go to work. I love being at home with my boys doing everything and nothing. I'll just have to do everything I can in these two weeks...

Interesting. How do you know where your coffee beans come from and who picks them?

of course I don't know who picks the beans but there aren't that many quality coffee factories here, only three. they all take pride in buying straight from the farmer and usually farmers that are very well known in the coffee "world" and take pride in having arabica beans that are picked at the right time for the purest taste.
