freaking ouselves out

Rate this Entry
Leah and I are watching Coppola's 1992 adaptation of Dracula and we are freaking ourselves out, even though we're fast-forwarding through the creepiest stuff. I can't tell if it's the story or the good acting or the directing...

That was one vampire movie I did not care for it, but I found it more silly than creepy when I tried to watch it.

lol, that's funny! it was my first serious vampire movie and I was duly freaked. What's a good one?

For me one of the best vampire movies ever is Interview With a Vampire

Interview With a Vampire was very well done. I also have a preference for the old black and white version of Dracula. Hmmm... The Lost Boys is pretty entertaining. I love the entire horror/monster genre so they tend to blend after a while. I guess it depends on what you are looking for. If you are looking for frightening movies I would suggest a different set than if you are looking for ones that will just entertain you:)

Where have you been Andy? You haven't read my blog? (I't only a faux pout. )

Yes the Lost Boys is an old Cult Classic. I loved it when I first watched it.

I have a fondness for the 1931 Dracula. I made the serious mistake of taking the boys to the 1992 one along with best friend Steve and now son Jim has a life long love of all things Dracula. Have never made it thru Lost Boys --not sure why but love Angel/Buffy the Vampire Slayer. (Except season 6 of Buffy) -- Angel just went form strenght to strengh though son Connor almost derailed it.

Ah, I have fond memories of the 1992 Dracula as that was officially mine and my boyfriend, now husband's first date. What good acting are you talking about? Only Gary Oldman I presume 'cos Tree-anu Reeves remains stiff as an old post, Winona Ryder's accent is terrible and Anthony Hopkins gets the swine flu award for 'hamming it up'!!! Not the best movie, really (and not really very scary either )
Interview with the Vampire is pretty good, and the Lost Boys is one of those films I remember with fondness but actually it isn't so great. Are there any good vampire movies? Hmm, I'm not sure.
