I'm trying to remember what I did before that inspired me. it's mainly poetry poems have been the main inspiration for my short stories and my ideas for novels. the biggest novel idea I have and have been thinking about for a few years is in part about a toy I can't remember the name of, those glass bowls that you shake and it snows inside them... just can't remember what it's called. a poem by Wordsworth was the inspiration for that one, I love his 'Lucy poems'.

She dwelt among the untrodden ways
Beside the springs of Dove,
Maid whom there were none to praise
And very few to love

I love this poem.
reading is the best medicine. except for insomnia...

I love the "Lucy" poems too. By the way Helga I always loved your avatar. I'm glad you've come back to lit net.

    A snow globe? ...

Came across this accidentally (new to the site - just joined) but I love that small little poem you have posted. That's the kind of poetry I like. My style isn't too dissimilar from that. Anywho, if you find out what poem you were thinking of, I would like to know and read it
