I always joke around with friend about what a book addict I am and how obcessed I am with books and reading, and he can't beleive how many books I read, and how many I have, so this is how completely crazy I am.

This weekend I am going up to my uncles cabin in the mountains, I am only going to be gone for a couple of days. I am living on Friday and comming home on Sunday and yet I will be taking with me 3 possibly 4 books. Haven't yet decided upon the 4th one.

Even when I'm going out to the barn for the day, if I think I might have some spare time, I pack 2 or 3 books... I know the feeling.

Me too! You never know when you might need a spare book or ten. I went camping a couple of months ago, it was a four day trip and I took five books.

I carry at least one in my purse for whenever I have a moment. Before having kids I would budget a book a day whenever I was going anywhere:lol: On a a three week trip to visit my husband before he deployed with the navy, right after we were married, I budgeted in 50 to spend on books while visiting. After a trip to the local used book store I returned home with some 25 books, all of which had been read at least once. A couple were even read twice:D

Count me in! I always have a book with me no matter where I am. I spend hours in bookstores and looking books up on Amazon. When I was little, I used to sneak books home that I ordered in school from the Arrow Books newsletter each month. I hid them under my dresser! One of my fondest memories was an old barn that was on my Aunt's property in Pennsylvania. She lived in a log cabin and had boyfriend who worked for one the big publishers -- I can't remember who it was. Anyway, all the walls in the barn were lined with book shelves. It seemed like there were a thousand books in there. The room smelled musty, but in a good way. That smell was on the books and to this day, I still smell the inside of books -- loving that special smell of must and age. The summer of my 10th year I brought home about 15 books -- Lolita, Down These Mean Streets, A Tree Grows in Brooklyn. I was in love!!

Nothing wrong with a bit of book addiction Every time I go to London (2 hour trip each way) I take at least one novel, sometimes two, and a book of poetry. And a really big bag!
4 days! You'll have to tell us if you get through all your books or not.
